Wai Eco Resort is located on a small, private island with 2km of white-sand beaches lining its edges. Guests come to disconnect, relax, and explore the Raja Ampat region both above and below the water's surface. The affordable prices and rustic style offer a more nature-oriented alternative to some of the larger resorts in the region.
STAY
The resort has six beach-side cottages that come with ensuite bathrooms and hot water for showers. Each cottage has a fan and hammock to ensure that guests are comfortable and can enjoy being in Raja Ampat, disconnected from the distractions of their everyday lives. There is an over-water restaurant where guests can enjoy traditional Indonesian cuisine while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
PLAY
Wai Eco Resort is first and foremost designed for those interested in exploring the beautiful underwater environments in the Raja Ampat region. Snorkeling and diving excursions are an absolute must as the reefs and dive sites around Wai Island are home to thousands of fish and coral species, some of which can only be found in this area. The resort also offers trips to surrounding islands where guests can take in the beauty of the region and interact with locals.
SUSTAIN
The resort constructs all of its cottages with sustainability in mind. The cottages are made of local, natural material such as driftwood and bamboo and have ensuite bathrooms geared towards limiting negative impacts on the environment. The resort also works closely with the nearby Kampung Arefi and Kampung Baru villages, helping them through donations and other ongoing projects to support these local communities.
